Kai Simone has over 20 years experience as a producer, director, performing artist and musician. She has a BA in Theater Directing and Design from the University of Illinois at Chicago with course work in music theory, composition and voice technique.
As a recipient of an Illinois Arts Council Grant, she has been a featured storyteller and vocalist at many events including, Taste of Chicago, Chicago Cultural Center and Los Angeles Children’s Museum. While receiving her degree at Cochise College in Arizona, she was a radio personality for KZMK. After returning to Chicago, she taught arts integration classes at Columbia College and began a residency partnership with the historic South Shore Cultural Center in Chicago, and produced several productions, including A Raisin in the Sun, The Wiz ,(featuring Maggie Brown daughter of famed Oscar Brown jr. ), Mufaro’s Beautiful Daughters, Aesop & the Fabulous Fable Sisters (featuring renowned Chicago trumpeters, Orbert Davis & Corey Wilkes) and an original Kwanzaa Musical, Imani and the Magic Drum.

Emmanuel is the Co-Founder and Musical Director of Skai Academy. His participation in a Chicago youth band propelled him toward a career working with industry professionals in songwriting, production and A&R. Emmanuel’s pursuit of musical excellence and leadership has led to artistic endeavors in Chicago, Los Angeles and Europe for over 20 years”.
